According to a recent article by healthline.com, a medical engineer has developed a “glowing” contact lens that is aimed at reducing some of the blindness caused by diabetes. It will prevent further damage to the blood vessels of the retina. The lenses are worn only a night, but could offer a significantly less invasive option over traditional treatment methods.
